FAQ
How can I find out the details of my insurance plan?
Each student association or institution has its own page on the Plan Major website. To find information about your insurance, select your association’s logo on the home page or search for the name of your association or school in the search bar.
Click here to find your student association.
If you have trouble finding the answer to your question, you can call Plan Major customer service directly at 1-877-976-2567.
I don't need insurance, what should I do?
A withdrawal and modification period is established at the beginning of each semester (fall and winter). During these periods, you may withdraw from the insurance plan and request a refund or credit for insurance plan fees at no cost and without justification.
Each plan has its own withdrawal periods, conditions, and procedures. Please refer to your association/school’s page for full details.
Please note that for most student associations/educational institutions, if you are a student in the fall semester and you keep the plan, you will not be able to withdraw in the winter semester.
Are you a continuing education student? Check your association/school page for all the details.
What are my important numbers?
There are two main numbers you need to remember in order to use your insurance or contact Plan Major: your certificate number and your group number. The certificate number is unique to each individual. It allows us to identify you. The group number is the same for all members of your association.
Depending on your student association, the certificate number may be your student number or your permanent code. You can find this information, as well as your group number, in the important numbers section on the right-hand side of your association/educational institution’s page.
What is an assistance program?
The Student Assistance Program (SAP) offers access to a psychological support center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This confidential service provides consultations with specialists who can assist you in the short term. In addition, the SAP provides an online toolkit that gives you easy access to advice, support, and a variety of digital content on various topics.
Check your eligibility on the page of your student association/educational institution.
