St. Lawrence College Student Association (SLCSA)
Withdrawal
Enrollment in the student supplementary group insurance plan is automatic, but you can withdraw at no cost during the plan’s change and withdrawal period. Your premium will be refunded by Plan Major after the end of the change and withdrawal period.
If you answered “no” to sharing your personal information with Plan Major and are having trouble opting out of the insurance plan, please contact a team member at retrait@planmajor.ca with your name, student ID number, and the name of your student association/educational institution.
Withdrawal Period
For the fall session: August 29 to September 28
For the winter session: January 29 au February 28
Types of Withdrawal
During the withdrawal period, you have the option to withdraw from the plan. Members enrolled in the fall session who have retained their plan cannot withdraw during the winter session withdrawal period.
Annual withdrawal
The annual withdrawal allows you to be temporarily withdrawn from the plan during 12 consecutive months. However, you will be reinstated automatically at the beginning of the next year. As a result, you will have to withdraw again, if you wish to do so, during the plan’s amendment and withdrawal period. It is not possible to withdraw only from some components of the plan.
Submit a withdrawal request
The withdrawal request must be made within the prescribed time frame. You will have no other opportunity to exercise your opt-out option. To withdraw from the supplementary insurance plan, please complete and forward the Web-based form below. An email confirmation will be sent once the application has been successfully saved. Keep this email as proof of withdrawal.
