Claims processing as of September 1, 2025, is on hold during the modification and withdrawal period. They will be processed retroactively 3 to 5 business days after the period.
Through your student association, you are automatically enrolled in a supplemental student group insurance plan. Your plan provides you with advantageous coverage, as well as a host of discounts and preferential rates from our Discount-Networks partners.
However, if you do not wish to take advantage of these benefits, you may withdraw from the plan during the coverage withdrawal period. For more information, please see the “Withdrawal” section.
Coverage period
The coverage period runs from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026, with eligibility contingent upon maintaining student status and membership in the student association.
Fall: September 1 to January 31
Winter: February 1 to August 31
Plan Enrollment
The insurance premium is included in your tuition invoice. It is billed in two installments: the first in the Fall Semester, and the second in the Winter Semester. All academic fees for the current session must be paid before you can receive reimbursement.

Family Coverage
To take advantage of an affordable family plan, you can extend your plan coverage to your children and/or spouse during the change period.

International student community
International students who are members of the student association are automatically enrolled in both the dental and health plans. This means you get the same coverage as all other members of the association!
Don’t want insurance coverage? You can opt out during the opt-out period. Go to the “Opt Out” section for details.
During the change period, you have the option of extending your coverage to your children and/or spouse. Your dependents will receive the same coverage as you. To do so, you must send the family coverage form (below) to student@majorplan.ca before the end of the change period. A member of the team will contact you regarding the payment procedure after receiving the form.
