Coverage period

The coverage period runs from September 1, to August 31, with eligibility contingent upon maintaining student status and membership in the student association.

Fall: September 1 to January 31

Winter: February 1 to August 31

Activating coverage

Did you answer “NO” on the form about transferring your personal information during the billing process, but still want to enjoy the benefits associated with your insurance plan? Here’s what you need to do:

To activate your insurance coverage, please contact Plan Major at etudiant@planmajor.ca with the following information:

Your full name
Student ID number (DA)
Educational institution

The Plan Major support team will tell you what to do next. This only applies to people who answered “NO” on the personal information disclosure form.

Please note that once your file has been activated, your personal information will be shared with insurers or insurance plan providers for the sole purpose of ensuring the proper functioning of these services.

Plan Enrollment

The fee is billed directly to your institutional invoice and is payable in a single payment during the fall semester. In order to submit a claim and obtain a refund, please ensure that all fees on your school invoice have been paid. Below are the details of the fee for the 2026-2027 academic year.

	Health, dental, travel, accident, gender affirmation, and telemedicine
Autumn (Sept. 1 to Jan. 31)	98 $
Winter (Feb. 1 to August 31)	49 $ (fee for new members registering in winter)

If applicable, fees include premiums, administration fees, commissions, withholdings, and taxes that may apply to the plan.

Family Coverage

To take advantage of an affordable family plan, you can extend your plan coverage to your children and/or spouse during the change period.

Modification periods 2026-2027

For the fall session: September 1 to September 30

For the winter session: February 1 to February 28
