Your Insurance Plan

Through your student association, you will be registered automatically in our group insurance plan. The plan allows you to save on a variety of health services, including dental, vision care, travel and accident.

You will be covered from September 1st to August 31st. This period is divided in two different lengths, matching your invoicing. The first period covering from September 1st to December 31st and the second covering  from January 1st to August 31st.

If in doubt as to whether or not a service or treatment is covered, we recommend you send us a request per email (etudiant@planmajor.ca).

The plan also provides additional savings through Major Plan’s Rebate Network.

To submit a claim, you will need the following policy numbers:

Your student permanent code correspond to  your certificate number. 

Once your tuition fees are fully paid, you will be able to submit claims under the plan. You can also submit claims retroactively, up to one year (365 days) after the service was provided. However, it  is recommended that you submit your claims promptly.

If you do not wish to be covered by this insurance plan, you can opt-out during the Amendment Modification Period  which is between September 1st and October 12th for the fall session, and between January 9 and February 15th for new students starting in the winter session. Therefore, there is only one (1) amendment period per coverage per academic year. (See Amendment Period Tab).

The cost of this plan will be added directly to your tuition bill. It is separated in two amounts, one for your fall semester and one for the winter.

The premium for the winter session is higher than the one for the fall session. The fall period covers from September 1st to December 31st inclusively (4 months) and the winter session covers from January 1st to August 31st inclusively (8 months).
